Not Your Everyday Bank

FFB’s Mortgage Division isn’t what you picture when you think of a bank. We are a modern business that understands things aren’t like they used to be, especially after recent years. We have been pioneering our industry as a digital first mortgage lender for over a decade and continue to implement new technology, dress codes, WFH policies, training initiatives and more to stay up to date with society.

Our Team

First Federal Bank was founded with community as its guiding light. The Mortgage division is a tight knit group which has grown tremendously over the past decade. Our office is almost always filled with baked goodies and catered food. For those who work from home we ship care packages, treats and swag throughout the year. Departments with remote employees hold a week-long training/ team building session annually. We also hold an annual awards banquet in Kansas City where we give away door prizes, swag, awards and have a blast.

Employees receive paid holidays, generous vacation (15 days in the first year), sick leave, health, company life/AD&D, dental insurance, flexible spending or health savings accounts, family pregnancy and adoption leave, access to supplemental life/AD&D insurance and disability benefits, discounted banking services, and a 401(k) plan with generous employer match.

Since the mortgage division’s inception over a decade ago we have made DE&I an important part of our business.  We are an AAP and EEOC compliant company and we value differences in all walks of life.  We believe that diversity strengthens our team and adds value to our knowledge base.  We look to the future and are growing our team with diversity, equity and inclusion being our primary drivers. We believe that skills and attitude are both important aspects when we are picking new team members.

First Federal Bank has been growing at a rapid pace the last couple of years, as a result many of our entry level employees have been able to move further along their chosen career path. We have also implemented a training initiative to give recent graduates and those making a career switch the opportunity to join our sales teams. On top of this we encourage employees to continually learn and offer reimbursement for educational costs if it meets certain qualifications.
